Whether it’s short or long, thick hair looks really satisfying and beautiful. However, keeping it thick can be a real challenge because of a number of factors, such as diet, hair products, diet, brushing, and many more.

Now, if you noticed that your hair is becoming thinner lately, then we’d like to let you know that you are in the right place. Lucky for you, there are many ways to make hair thicker. While some have been proven scientifically, others are said to be effective based on anecdotal reports.

Then again, results vary from one person to the other. Nonetheless, here are 7 natural hair care tips to thicken hair we have gathered for you:

1. Use eggs.

Hair consists of protein, so it is just logical that eating a protein-rich food like eggs will provide your hair with the nourishment it needs. However, to take advantage of the protein present in eggs, you need to apply them topically.

Beat 1 or 2 eggs and apply them directly to damp hair. After that, put on a shower cap and leave the eggs on for 2 to 3 hours. After that, rinse your hair as you normally would. Do this once a week for three months for best results.

2. Add fatty acids and protein-rich foods in your diet.

If you truly want to thicken your hair inside out, you have to ensure you are getting enough fatty acids and protein. You can only get them from foods like beans and legumes, organic fish and meat, soybeans, walnuts, roasted soybeans, nuts, and china seeds.

3. Apply olive oil.

Did you know that when you apply olive oil to your scalp, you do not just help thicken your hair, you also prevent split ends and dry scalp.

To use, heat a tablespoon or two of olive oil and gently massage into the scalp. Leave it on for an hour and wash. You can leave the oil overnight, but make sure you wear a shower cap to keep the oil from being absorbed by the pillow.

4. Use Aloe Vera.

Nowadays, there are many commercial hair care products formulated to thicken hair. Most of them contain Aloe Vera. Of course, you can buy one, but you can always DIY.

Rub Aloe Vera gel directly onto damp scalp and slowly massage it. Leave it on for an hour before rinsing. Do this once a week and you’ll have thick hair in no time.

5. Mash avocado fruit and apply it to your hair.

The natural oils present in avocado make it an excellent natural hair thickening remedy. Not to mention, it’s a great moisturizer as well.

Add a tablespoon of coconut oil to mashed avocado and apply the mixture directly to your hair and scalp. Keep it there for 30 minutes and rinse. Do this once a week.

6. Use an orange puree.

Oranges are excellent sources of antioxidants and vitamin C. But aside from that, they also work wonders on your hair. The acid in this fruit helps eliminate the residues left behind by hair care products like conditioners and shampoos, which later on, interfere with your hair health.

To use oranges and thicken your hair, create an orange puree by simply processing a few whole oranges in a blender. Apply the puree directly to your scalp. Massage it carefully and leave it on for 2 hours before rinsing.

7. Apply castor oil.

For years now, people have been using castor oil to improve hair growth, not only in the head, but also in the eyelashes and eyebrows. This oil is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E, and many other minerals that nourish the hair and improve hair growth.

To use, take a tablespoon of castor oil and massage it gently into your scalp. Just make sure you use pure castor oil that is free of hexane and other ingredients. It is worth noting, though, that this oil is thick. That means it can be a bit difficult to spread.

Important Notes
